Dwight-StevensRev. Dwight Stevens is Senior Pastor and Founder of The Paramount Church. He was ordained in 1991 and received a Doctorate Degree in Theology in 1999 from South Florida Bible College and Theological Seminary in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

He was called into the full time ministry in 1992 after 15 years of private practice of Dermatology with The Palm Beach Medical Group in West Palm Beach from 1977 to 1992. His story is detailed in ATHEIST DOCTOR TO PALM BEACH MINISTER, available on Amazon.com and Kindle eBooks.

He received his education at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri University Medical School and Internship & Residency at New York University.

Practicing medicine was a wonderful experience for Dr. Stevens, but he found that sharing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was a higher calling. His messages as Pastor are always twofold: God’s love for all people by sending His Son Jesus Christ to bear our sins and to provide us the opportunity for our sins to be forgiven…and our responsibilities as Christians to live our lives according to the Holy Scriptures…which becomes a lifelong process of gradual spiritual growth.

Upon retiring from the private practice of medicine, Dr. Stevens offered his medical services to the State of Florida and attended a weekly public health clinic from 1992 to 2003 in Palm Beach County. He is also President of Missions of Mercy. Inc, an international non-profit 50lc3 outreach to the poor, making 29 overseas mission trips since 1989, bringing assistance to lesser advantaged people through medical teams, construction teams, orphanage assistance and educational projects and ministry teams.

This international outreach has been with short – term mission teams traveling to South America, Central America and The Caribbean. Having assisted in the building of a medical clinic in Riobamba, in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador, South America, his vision is to build a hospital in Riobamba for the impoverished indigenous Quechuan Indians. His next mission trip will be in July 2017.

Says Dr. Stevens: “To whom much is given, much is required.” The Bible says: ‘There will always be poor people … be open-handed…toward the poor and needy (Deuteronomy 15:11; John 12:8) and ‘Continue to remember the poor’ (Galatians 2: 10). Quite simply, it is our responsibility and God given duty to help the poor.”
