How do we handle unexpected adversity? Our Bible tells us that through many hardships we enter the Kingdom of God, that the rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous, that God tests our faith, that we will face many trials … and more scriptures that indicate there will be times of adversity. Do we respond in faith, trusting God, standing on His Word … or do we think God doesn’t care, is indifferent, won’t help, or will let us go under? There are many examples in the Bible of both. What do we do?

Manuscript of “ATHEIST DOCTOR TO PALM BEACH MINISTER” has been submitted to the publisher. They tell me it will take 4-6 weeks for it to be in print. At that time it will be available both on Amazon.com and Kindle. Finally, the culmination of 21 months of work to write the book.
The Palm Beach Daily News kindly did a story Monday, October 24, as part of their Community Profile series: “From Skin Doctor to Minister of God.”

How did you become a minister?” Hopefully the book will be in print and available by November of this year.

There are many reasons people don’t believe in God and in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are 17 New Testament passages that address this and I personally have heard at least 33 different “excuses” why people don’t believe. The past two Sundays I have shared these reasons and “excuses.” See “Sermons” for summaries of these teachings.

The Bible says that “God directs our steps” (Proverbs 20:24) and “Our Lives Are Not Our Own” (Jeremiah 10:23). Is that true for you? Does God really direct your steps? Is your life your own or is God in total control?
